Two lovely sisters + one sweet brother = one great session!

These adorable siblings were so fun to photograph! Seven year old Ella, five year old Graham and two year old Lily were ready to get started as soon as they walked in the door! We captured great moments of them together-being silly, playful and just having fun!! We were also able to create stunning individual images of each of them-really showing their own unique personalities. They were darling. You know it was a great session when the 2 year old is blowing kisses as she leaves the studio at the end! Gotta love that! This family recently had an addition to their family-an eight week old goldendoodle puppy they named Teddy!! We can't wait for a session next summer that will include Teddy!! Yay!!

New Holiday Products at the studio!

We are excited to launch new products at the studio this fall! To give you a little taste of what new, cool pieces you can expect to see when you come in, here is a sneak peek.Check out our new Flutter, a gift sized, beautiful, hand painted frame of your color choice (the possibilities are endless-seriously!) and it sits perfectly on a desk or shelf. It makes an ideal gift (they are flying out of the studio already!). Also this fall we are introducing our new art album that holds 20 images from your session. A great solution to having as many images from your session displayed together.

Another exciting addition this fall are the brand new, hot-off-the-press holiday card designs! Each one is better than the one before! We still custom design every stunning card but new this year we have added cool, designer shapes! You will have a hard time choosing (we certainly are!!).

We really can't wait to share all of these new products and more with you when you come in for your session this fall. Holiday shopping? Done.

With love from Saint Paul

It was very special for this family to be together for this session. A busy family with a son entering his senior year of high school and a daughter jetting off back to college out east, it was the perfect time to get everyone together to capture some family moments. And what better place to do it than along the shore of the Mississippi with the beautiful Saint Paul skyline in the background. It was heartwarming for us to see brother and sister so close- real togetherness despite the miles that might separate them during the school year. Good luck to both of you this school year!

Announcing our 2011 Holiday Deadlines....

It is that time of year when many of you schedule your yearly photo session with us! Whether it is a milestone age for one of the kids or time for another family portrait for the home, fall is an ideal time to come in for your session. Believe it or not, holiday deadlines are fast approaching. To ensure orders are ready in time for the holidays, photo sessions need to take place by November 1st and orders placed no later than November 22nd. Call us to schedule your planning session with Melissa today so that we can take advantage of the fall colors. (Apparently because of the favorable summer weather, they are predicting that the fall colors will be the best this year then in the past 10 years!) Thanks and Giving 2010

Many of you may recall that each Thanksgiving, we ask for your nominations of a family in need who would cherish the gift of photography in the years to come. A family who may have experienced a tragedy, is struggling to stay afloat, is raising kids while holding down more than one job, has someone in their family that is terminally ill or someone who is volunteering selflessly despite extenuating personal circumstances. Each year we are overwhelmed and humbled by the nominations. And 2010 was no different. We thought we would share with you this family's images taken this past summer at their home and yard. It was such a pleasure for us to meet them and give them the gift of photography. We know this will hold a special place in their home and hearts in the years to come. We also thought we would share with you the note this family sent us after their session:

"Melissa and Robin,
We are so thrilled you chose our family for the thanks and giving gift. It is hard to express in words how much this means to us.
As parents of a sick child we cherish every moment that she is well enough to enjoy life and spend time with her brother and sisters, just hanging out, having fun on a beautiful summer day.
You captured that in the beautiful portraits. It means the world to us to have these to look at forever.
You could not have given a more generous and kindhearted gift.
We appreciate you so very much and thank you with all our hearts.

Blessings to you, the Maddie's family".

Missing: Two front teeth!!

Is there anything cuter than missing top front teeth?!? Natalie had lost hers just prior to her photo session with younger brother, Jack. This sweet stage is really just a fleeting moment in time because before you know it, those grown up teeth are there! In fact, when Natalie and her mom came to pick up their framed portraits a couple of weeks ago, those grown up teeth were already almost fully in! So glad that her mom and dad have these portraits to remind them of her precious toothless grin! Natalie and Jack were fun siblings to get to know and to photograph! We love Jack's energy and enthusiasm for life! We wish them luck as their family prepares for a big move this fall!! Hoping everything goes smoothly!!

First Day of School Fun!

Today was a special day at Miroslavich Photography-both Melissa and I both had our youngest kiddos start kindergarten which means we both have all our children in school full-time-a major milestone for us!! We thought we would share with you some of the images from the morning before school started. It was an exciting morning for everyone! Somewhat bittersweet for us as we no longer have preschoolers at home. However, the calm and quietness has been welcomed! Back to the studio tomorrow!!! We hope everyones' first days went fantastic!!

Class of 2012!

High School senior sessions started this summer and we are now fully immersed in the senior portrait season! Yay!! We love meeting all of these great high school students who are so excited for their senior year and all that the future holds! Megan is a remarkably smart and gifted student-who is already taking classes at the U! During her planning session, she and Melissa talked about Megan's keen interest in Japanese (Megan and her family lived in Japan for several years)so we knew we had to try to incorporate this into Megan's session. We love when seniors are passionate about something in their lives-whether it be sports, theater, music, or culture - you can tell how much it means to them when you see their eyes light up in their portraits. Good luck this year, Megan!!
